Our client was in a second round pitch to top level executives including the CEO, CFO and CTO of a large corporation. We had more time than the first pitch (which we also created) because the end-client had asked for a more detailed breakdown of the service being offered. We were tasked with helping our client hone his message, plan the content flow, create an outline, establish art direction, and produce all of the slides. The material was dense and the message needed to be as clear as possible due to its technical nature.
With all this in mind we sat down with our client and hammered out the big idea, the important features and benefits, a problem/solution content flow, and an impactful closing vision (with a clear Call to Action) that incorporated all of the key points given throughout the presentation. This allowed us to create a detailed outline, prepare speaking notes, and start placing content into slides. After a few drafts, the deck was ready for art direction, much of which we pulled from our client’s branding guidelines and the original pitch deck. Due to the amount of information being displayed, including several dense infographics, many of the slides were created using animated builds in order to avoid reading ahead by the audience.
After the presentation our client told us that several members of the audience said,“It was the best presentation they had ever seen.” That’s a compliment we will gladly accept. Moving forward our client presented several more times, editing and modifying the presentation we designed. They are now in the final stages of negotiations for a major contract.
